Skittles, an amazing young Pit Bull puppy, was confiscated from her original owner after he dragged her down a street in 110+ degree heat. She was taken to a high kill shelter but quickly became the kennel manager's favorite. He asked if the Heigl Foundation would rescue her as she was at risk of euthanization. After a few months in our care she now has a new home, having been adopted by a wonderful couple in Eugene, Oregon. Skittles has overcome many obstacles in her short life, including a broken tail, abuse and pneumonia but now has loving owners that care for her so much that they simply couldn't imagine life without her.
