Captain Jack is a handsome 3 year old Pit weighing 55 pounds. Captain Jack was rescued by Animal Advocates Alliance after being chained, mistreated and neglected for over a year. Jack was hit by a car at some point in his past which resulted in the loss of one eye and the accident left him with a condition called ataxia which makes him a little wobbly or off balance sometimes - we think it just adds to his charm and unique personality!
Since being rescued, Jack has been in a wonderful training facility receiving love, training and care. Captain Jack is a friendly and very enthusiastic dog. He loves to play with chew toys and even though his balance is a little bit off his favorite thing to do is short sprints! He knows sit, down, come, and a few more things, and is getting better at it every day. He is a quiet dog, doesn’t bark much except when he is really happy and excited during play. He prefers to be with people but is very good and has no problems being left alone for a while. He gets along VERY well with other dogs too. He is a very sweet, young dog that had a very tough beginning. Jack is very resilient and he doesn’t let his bad past experiences or his (minor) physical challenges get in the way of enjoying life and having fun.
