JustOne & Orapup Unveil Video Starring Katherine Heigl To Benefit Homeless Animals

JustOne, a pet product line founded by Emmy Award-winning actress Katherine Heigl and her mother, Nancy Heigl, and – Orapup, the first tongue cleaner to beat bad dog breath today unveiled a video to raise awareness and funds for the 7 million companion animals that are abandoned or surrendered to shelters across the U.S. each year.

Remember Me Thursday asks organizations and individuals to dedicate the fourth Thursday of September, annually, to remembering the countless number of homeless pets who lost their lives over the last year. Join 2014 spokesperson Katherine Heigl in uniting animal lovers and rescue facilities and help shine a light on the millions of healthy and loving orphan pets still awaiting adoption.

Road Trip For Rascals

Road Trip For Rascals

On August 5th, 46 kittens and a Chihuahua were part of a transport funded by the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation from Long Beach Animal Care Services (ACS) to the Foothills Animal Shelter in Golden, Colorado. ACS staff and volunteers from a number of rescue groups working the transport with our coordinator Diane Holmes, teamed up with photographer Sara Cozolino and journalist Kate Karp to document the journey.

Los Angeles ASPCA Cocktail Party

Representing the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation, Katherine Heigl attended a special event last night in Beverly Hills, a cocktail party to celebrate the ASPCA announcement of a major investment of $25 million over five years in Los Angeles animal welfare. Collaborating with public and private animal-welfare organizations the money will be used to help curb the homeless pet population.
