From childhood pets, to the dogs, horses and donkeys that now share her Utah ranch, Katherine explains how she has always opened her heart and her home to four-legged friends.

Next week congressman Jim Moran plans to reintroduce a bill to the House Of Representatives that would ban the use of gas chambers as a method to euthanize shelter animals.
