We have had a number of questions about Sochi and Adler, our Russian rescue dogs, who are looking for temporary fosters for the duration of their quarantine period. There are a number of rules and regulations governing their care, so we thought it best to let potential fosters know the sort of environment that is required for the two adorable pups. Please get in touch if you think you can help!

We are looking for volunteers in the Los Angeles area to foster some of our amazing Heigl Hounds while we search for homes for them. Fostering involves opening your home to an animal in need on a temporary basis, to provide food, water, shelter and most importantly personal care and attention. Dogs thrive and are healthier in a loving environment. Interested? Check out the details after the jump.

It has been a busy start to 2014 for the Heigl Foundation’s transport team! In January alone, over 200 cats and dogs were relocated from high kill shelters in the Los Angeles area – where they were at imminent risk of euthanisia, to new homes and new lives in locations across the United States.

Make your giving go further this holiday season! To try and help even more of our four legged friends at this time of year and as a thank you for supporting our life saving work, for every donation made to the JDHF Foundation during the month of December, Katherine Heigl will match the amount given, dollar for dollar, up to a total value of $100,000.
