Help Name Our Adorable New Kitten!

A second new addition arrived at the Heigl Foundation office on Monday. Hot on the heels of our first office cat Lucky Panda, came an adorable kitten rescued from the Baldwin Park Shelter where she had been slated for euthanasia. The only problem, she doesn’t have a name! We need your help to decide!

Home For The Holidays 6th Annual Pet Adoption Fair

Home For The Holidays 6th Annual Pet Adoption Fair

Join us on Sunday, December 2nd, at the Home For The Holidays 6th Annual Pet Adoption Fair at the Irvine Animal Care Center. The event will feature over 500 adoptable animals, more than 50 vendors and exhibitors, a silent auction, vet advice and low-cost microchipping. Not to mention a food court and a bake sale in case you get hungry!

Amazing Grace

We thought it would be nice to share some beautiful photographs of Grace, an amazing dog that we rescued a few months ago. Regular visitors may remember that in September, we received a plea from staff at the Baldwin Park Shelter in Los Angeles who were desperate to ensure that Grace, a five year old Pit Bull stray found on the streets, would not be left to die alone after a life of suffering.

The Importance Of Vaccination

Responsible pet owners know that vaccinations for puppies are crucial for the long term health and well-being of a dog, as they help to protect our four-legged friends from life threatening diseases. Sadly for Hannah, a Chihuahua mix that the Heigl Foundation rescued from a high kill shelter last week, her former owner had clearly failed to provide this basic and essential level of care. It was a decision that cost Hannah her life.
