Katherine Heigl Launches The “I Hate Balls” Campaign

I Hate Balls

Today, Katherine Heigl and the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation launches an innovative and unconventional campaign focused on promoting spaying and neutering of pets, to help save the lives of millions of companion animals. The multi-media initiative kicks off with the launch of a new website IHateBalls.com that features an amusing Public Service Announcement starring Katherine and produced by Funny or Die.

Humanity Thru Music Honor

Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary: 2011 Dog Rescue Award

At the 2nd Annual Humanity Thru Music concert and PAWsta dinner, held at the Avalon Hollywood on Sunday to benefit the Fur & Feather Animal Sanctuary, the Heigl Foundation was honored with the Lester Award for Dog Rescue, in recognition of the work of the organization within the animal welfare community.

Pet Care Foundation Adoption Event

Come find your new best friend Sunday, December 4th from 11 AM to 3 PM at Roxbury Park. The Pet Care Foundation a.k.a. Pets 90210 will host their biggest pet adoption event to date with LA City, LA County, Bark Avenue Foundation, and others all in attendance with their beautiful, adorable and very adoptable cats and dogs. Unconditional love will be waiting anxiously for you!

Launching The Fall 5000 Campaign & Pets To Patriots Program

Pets To Patriots

At the press conference to launch the Los Angeles Animal Alliance’s Fall 5000 Campaign on Friday, the JDHF represented by Nancy, Meg and Katherine Heigl and executive director Kathy Davis, announced the Pets To Patriots initiative, a program which will provide no-cost adoptions for veterans at participating shelters in the Greater Los Angeles area. This initiative is a small token of our appreciation to the legion of heroes who have given so much.
