Canine oral care is the subject of Dr. Stan Kunin’s column in the October issue of the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation Newsletter. Our animal expert and veterinarian explains the importance of dental hygiene in ensuring the good health of a dog and the need to take positive action to prevent oral diseases from occurring.
Bullies Against Bullying is an anti-bullying organization fronted by Champ, an English Bulldog rescued from the horrors of dog fighting. The organizations ethos of acceptance and tolerance and their use of a dog to promote this message had a profound effect on Jacob, a young boy who had suffered from both the emotional and physical pain of being bullied.
In memory of Frederick John Debus and in conjunction with the Los Angeles Animal Alliance’s Pets to Patriots Program, the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation has donated $30,000 to fund no cost pet adoptions for veterans in honor of their service to our great country. There are 22.7 million Veterans in our country today. Every one of them deserves our generous thanks for defending our liberty and preserving our freedom.
This Sunday (October 16) between 8.30am and 3.00pm, the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation will be at Perris Hill Park in San Bernardino at the Hot Rods & Harleys benefit event for H.E.A.L. We will be supporting H.E.A.L and their fundraising efforts for the San Bernardino Animal Shelter. The show is free for spectators so please come along, show your support for a great cause and enjoy some great cars and bikes!
