The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation is announcing the hiring of Kathy Davis to serve as its Executive Director, effective Monday, September 5, 2011. "We are thrilled to have someone as experienced and compassionate as Kathy Davis join the foundation and are confident that her leadership, experience and tireless work ethic will guide our foundation toward meeting our ultimate goal of ending the needless suffering of companion pets and to serve as the voice of our compassion revolution."  (Katherine and Nancy Heigl)

Ventura County Animal Services $100K Challenge

Ventura County Animal Services $100K Challenge

Celebrities joined cat and canine lovers at Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) in Camarillo, California on August 6 as the shelter kicked off a three-month-long adoption drive. It is one of 50 shelters across the country competing for a chance to win a $100,000 grant from the ASPCA in a challenge to place 1,780 pets with loving families by October 31st. The JDHF helped line up the stars to support the launch event.

Angels For Animals

The Jason Debus Heigl Foundation teamed up with the LA Angels, The Angels’ Wives and the OC Animal Care Center on Saturday, August 6 to host the fourth annual Angels for Animals night at the Big "A". Fans were invited to join us at the Home Plate Gate in an effort to promote the importance of animal adoption and spaying and neutering pets.
