Last January, the Lov-a-Bull Pit Bull Rescue Sanctuary was the recipient of $25,000 from the Heigl Foundation. The Oregon based volunteer rescue organization, dedicated to re-homing unwanted Pit Bulls, used the grant to build isolation buildings to separate incoming dogs until they can ensure they are not suffering from distemper or parvo.
Lov-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue Sanctuary
Located on 50 acres just outside Eugene, Oregon, Lov-a-Bull was created to rescue and re-home Pit Bulls in 1999. LAB foster dogs live either at the organizations main kennel facility or in a network of foster homes while they wait to be adopted and placed in forever homes.
The sanctuary also receives animals from various high kill shelters in the Los Angeles area and gives them a second chance at life.

My dream is to open an animal santuary for pit bulls who have been slatted for euthaniziation.
If you have any information on grants that would help for funding for this type of project, please let me know.
