Last January, the Lov-a-Bull Pit Bull Rescue Sanctuary was the recipient of $25,000 from the Heigl Foundation. The Oregon based volunteer rescue organization, dedicated to re-homing unwanted Pit Bulls, used the grant to build isolation buildings to separate incoming dogs until they can ensure they are not suffering from distemper or parvo.
