On June 10th, 50 dogs from the City of San Bernardino Animal Control Shelter in California were given a second chance at life when they were transported from the high kill shelter to out of state rescues that do not euthanize animals in their care.
The transport of the group, which also included 5 pit bulls, was organized by animal welfare organization H.E.A.L and funded by the Jason Debus Heigl Foundation.
H.E.A.L recorded the dogs as they underwent medical examination at the vet and excitedly prepared for their life saving journey.
