The Heigl Foundation has rescued a young blue nose pit bull named Jack, who was orphaned when his owner, a young solider, had to leave the United States to serve a tour of duty overseas and was unable to find anyone to care for him.
Katherine Heigl teamed up with her sister Meg, who was touched when she heard about the plight of the playful four-legged friend, to make a joint appeal on the TV show Good Day LA to find a new home for the lovable pup.
Meg visited Fox Studios accompanied by Jack, while Katherine called the station from her home in Utah and during the segment the sisters explained the role and work of the JDHF. They also discussed the Compassion Revolution initiative, the Foundation's major companion pet program designed to directly address the pet population crisis.
If you are able to provide a forever home for Jack, please contact us for more information about the adoption process.
